Ned Ambler
Ned Ambler is an American filmmaker and photographer who lives in the East Village of New York City. Iconic New York video store Kim's Video has a section devoted to his films. ==Early life and career== He graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 1994 with a BA in Film and Television. For five years he was a casting director in the fashion industry, handpicking talent for advertising campaigns such as Calvin Klein (CK, CK1, CK Be, CK Jeans, CK Kakki, CK Boxers), GAP, Levi's, Versace, Jil Sander, Valentino, and Dolce & Gabbana; fashion editorial for magazines such as ''Vogue'', Italian ''Vogue'', ''L’Uomo Vogue'', ''Harper’s Bazaar'', ''W'', ''Interview'', ''Details'', and ''The Face''; and also for runway shows such as Calvin Klein, Matsuda, Comme de Garcon, JOOP!, Diesel, Jil Sander, and Marc Jacobs. Within that time he also began a career as a commercial photographer, focusing on fashion and celebrity portraiture, for magazines (''Interview'', ''Index''), advertising (Engelhorn + Zhane), and record covers and promotional materials for recording artists (Princess Superstar, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black). His photographs have also appeared in group and solo exhibitions at Life and Rupert Goldsworthy Gallery.
